Location: Rotherham, Yorkshire Hours – 3 Shifts Rotating – Days 6am – 2pm, Afternoons 2pm – 10pm and nights 10pm-6am
Key objectives and duties
Perform welding activities on a wide range of components in carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium etc. and other metals as may be required from time to time
Required to weld various joint configurations in all positions in a competent manner
Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity, and WPS requirements
Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
Promote and encourage best practice in welding and welding procedures ensuring a safe working environment and complying with Health & Safety standard, hence reducing the risk of accidents whilst welding
To adhere to ‘No Fault Forward’ policy
Personal Responsibilities
To work as part of a team to produce customers’ orders on time by strictly adhering to the production schedule
To follow work instructions and Company / Customer expectations in terms of documentation and quality requirements
To carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks
To ensure correct marking up of component parts
To ensure that the labelling system is adhered to

Knowledge and Skills Requried
Welding / Fabrication Experience
Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and additional MTL requirements
Understanding of Company quality procedures and specific customer requirements
Ability to work effectively and use own initiative
