Sales Estimator – Machining

Salary: up to £45,000 DOE Plus profit share bonus

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Hours: Week 1: Mon–Fri 8am–5pm • Week 2: Mon–Thurs 8am–5pm, Fri 8am–1pm

Due to internal progression, we are now offering a fantastic opportunity for a driven Sales Estimator to join our rapidly expanding Engineering team within our machining division.

If you have strong machining /engineering knowledge and enjoy turning customer drawings into accurate quotes, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate cost estimates from technical drawings
• Create labour/material costings and routing information
• Liaise with suppliers and manage sub-contract requirements
• Prepare and input full quotations for customers
• Handle enquiries, provide technical support, and resolve queries
• Work closely with internal teams to keep projects on track

What We’re Looking For:

• A highly motivated and proactive time served machinist who can demonstrate successful experience in a similar role.
• You must be familiar with all aspects of CNC machining and be conversant with current tooling developments.
• Candidates should have good interpersonal skills and a high level of commercial awareness.
• Excellent mathematical and numerical skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Strong communication skills at all levels
• Must be computer literate
• Ability to manage own workload and work under pressure in a busy environment
