Role:
You’ll confidently take ownership of complex fabrication enquiries, leading the estimating process and turning opportunities into profitable work.
You’ll be at the heart of the commercial process—working closely with customers, suppliers, Sales, and internal teams to develop accurate, competitive estimates and win major projects.
You’ll also manage and support a team of 2–3 Estimators, providing guidance, reviewing estimates, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality work on time.
Responsibilities:
Manage and support a team of 2–3 Estimators, allocating workloads and monitoring performance.
Oversee accurate and competitive estimates, quotations, and tenders.
Review estimates for pricing, margins, scope, and commercial accuracy.
Provide coaching, training, and technical support to the estimating team.
Work closely with Sales, Commercial, and Operations teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
Producing accurate, competitive estimates from technical drawings
Building detailed costings (materials, labour, routing)
Liaising with suppliers and managing subcontract pricing
Preparing and submitting quotations for high-value projects
Supporting customers with technical queries and solutions
Working with production and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery
