CAD / CAM Programmer – Sherburn Metalwork Full Time

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CAD CAM Programmer, looking to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding engineering firm.

Role & Responsibilities

• Create 2D CNC CAD Programs with the use of CAD / CAM software.
• Updating and maintaining material & consumable stock lists using Microsoft Excel, Work & Outlook.
• Assist with the running of customer projects as and when required.
• Office administration duties as required by the General Manager
• Dealing with customers both over the phone and in person.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• Fully competent in using CAD/CAM Software
• Previous experience in a 2D CNC cutting environment is required.
• Experience of 3D drawing packages would be beneficial i.e. Inventor.
• Previous experience with Trumpf Boost software to program Fibre Laser is desirable although full training will be provided
• Previous experience with Trumpf Boost software to offline program Pressbrake is desirable although full training will be provided.
• Previous experience operating Laser and Pressbrake machines would be advantageous, not necessary.
• Fully understand technical drawings & draw or develop flat pattern components
• Experience of sheet metal fabrication is an advantage
• Experience of Microsoft Access Database systems preferable but full training will be provided
• Use of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, Outlook is essential
• Excellent organisational, numeracy and computer literacy skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
