£16.97 per hour
Shift: Monday – Thursday rotating Days (6am-4pm) and Nights (8pm-6am)
ABOUT THE ROLE:
· You will operate and maintain semi-automated robotic seam welding cells to produce high-quality metal components. Your primary focus is ensuring precision, efficiency, and equipment uptime.
· Load and position workpieces into fixtures (crane operation) following standard operating procedures.
· Execute automated weld cycles and monitor robotic arm movements for errors and faults.
· Inspect finished welds for penetration, porosity and adherence to current quality standards.
· Perform basic maintenance, including cleaning nozzles/shrouds and replacing wire spools or contact tips & liners.
· Troubleshoot minor program deviations or mechanical jams.
· Safety mindset required strict adherence to PPE and machine guarding.
About you
· Previous experience of operating automated/semi machinery, in an industrial background.
· Welding experience would be beneficial but not essential.
· A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas.
Desirable:
· Technical literacy, ability to read drawings and weld symbols.
· Mechanical aptitude & experience with MIG/MAG welding processes.
