Inspector – Machining Full Time

Established for over 45 years and now one of the North West’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC Group Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Inspector for our expanding Machine shop based in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Responsibilities

Monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within machining, including:

• First off, patrol and final inspection of machined components
• Calibration of measuring equipment
• Control and monitor QMS procedures
• Maintain quality records

Machine Shop Inspection activities including:

• Review of Job Packs and drawings
• Use of CMM and micro height
• Review and control of material cert
• Shop audits
• To adhere to all health and safety

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• Being a time served machinist would be desirable
• Previous Machine Shop Inspection experience is essential
• Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal is essential
• Computer literate is essential
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office is essential
