Nightshift Laser Operator – Laser Profiles Full Time Night Shift

This is an exciting opportunity for a flat bed laser operator to join an ambitious and forward-thinking company that continues to expand and invest in state-of-the-art technology.

Hours of Work

Monday – Thursday 6pm to 6am

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines.
• Load and unload raw materials safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work orders.
• Select correct programs, tooling, and machine settings for each job.
• Perform machine start-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures.
• Monitor cutting quality and make adjustments as required.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment to ensure tolerances are met.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Report machine faults, defects, or material issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, including PPE requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• Must have previous experience as a Flat Bed Laser Operator, Trumpf or Bystronic an advantage
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances.
• Familiarity with CNC control systems and nesting software.
• Competent using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy.
