Design Engineer ( FTC 3 Months ) Full Time

MTL Advanced is hiring due to a major expansion, marked by the opening of our brand-new manufacturing facility, based in Rotherham just 5 minutes away from Meadowhall shopping centre.

Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.

We are seeking an experienced Design Manufacturing Engineer to join us for a fixed term 3 month contract, with a great rate of pay to be discussed on the pre screening call.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Jig and fixture detailing using CAD systems (2D and 3D) using Autodesk Investor
• Plan manufacturing routings
• Procurement of engineering parts
• Liaise with other departments to give support and information i.e. NPI type activities
• To develop and implement factory lay-out improvements or new lay-out proposals in conjunction with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer
• To carry out process analysis, review, development and implementation of improvement plans
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques/methods

ABOUT YOU:

• UK citizenship or UK SC clearance.
• Experience of designing fixtures for fabrication.
• Design software working desirable to trained on Inventor.
• Experience using CAD systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
