Welding Instructor – MTL Advanced Full Time

Department: WEC Group Training Academy (MTL Rotherham)
Location: MTL Advanced. Rotherham
Hours: 37.5 Hours Mon-Thurs 7:30am-4pm. Fri – 7:30am-1pm
Salary: £36,000 basic (Neg DOE)

Responsibilities

• Assist delivering the Level 3 Plate Welder standard to the Apprentices
• Ensuring we have a Smooth onboarding process for all new apprentices
• Instruct and train apprentices in several Welding & fabrication techniques
• Assess Apprentices progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate skill development and improvement
• You will assist with monitoring and maintaining workshop standards with respect
• Maintain training facilities and equipment in line with Health & Safety policies to ensure optimal functionality and safety for our apprentices

What Are We Looking For:

• Strong & Competent Welder/Fabricator MIG & TIG
• You will be required to pass an Enhanced DBS check, of which the company will pay.
• Ability to work effectively and use own initiative
• Ability to lead and manage and train others to achieve desired results
• Fully conversant with welding, fabrication and ability to read engineering drawings.
